On June 11th Centerview Baptist church hosted Elk's group litter pick up event. About six more bags and a few large items of litter are off the streets. Elk is looking for hosts for fall events (September, October, and November). Businesses, Churches, and/or neighborhoods can host an event. The idea is that hosts have a place for volunteers to park. Hosts can announce the event and host volunteers can join Elk volunteers for the day to clean the area near your church, business, or neighborhood. Our hope is that this will spread awareness, increase volunteerism, and clean more litter:)
